Diane Blondeau paints in acrylic, working large and working quickly — thick fields of cobalt and cadmium, spattered white, flashes of gold and pink held together by nothing but instinct.
Some pieces are built on stretched canvas. Others are laid straight onto raw birch panel, the grain left showing at the edges as part of the work.
Nothing is planned. Everything flows.
